The Armory Show presents the world's leading international galleries showcasing works from both modern masters and cutting-edge contemporary artists and conecting them to collectors, galeries, museums and institutions across the city.

Rutger Brandt Gallery is participating with a solo exhibition by Radenko Milak (Travnik, 1980). Milak is a young artist with a distinguished international career. He represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Venice Biennial in 2017.

Milak creates outstanding watercolor paintings which are largely based on existing photographs or documentary images. By consciously translating these images from one medium to another, he reinforces the message of the original image. This process allows him to transfer these messages from the past to the present, stimulating the viewer to re-evaluate forgotten and invisible realities.
