Art Toronto 2026
Brandt Gallery is proud to present a solo booth of new works by internationally acclaimed artist Yigal Ozeri at Art Toronto 2026.
Known for his hyperrealistic, documentary-style paintings, Ozeri’s latest series explores one of America’s most iconic cultural symbols: the diner. More than a roadside eatery, the American diner becomes a place of refuge, nostalgia, and human connection, a timeless space where stories, travelers, and everyday life intersect.
Inspired by the visual language of 1950s and 1960s Americana, Ozeri captures glowing neon lights, polished chrome surfaces, worn leather booths, and the quiet atmosphere of these enduring interiors with extraordinary precision. His cinematic compositions celebrate the beauty of ordinary moments while reflecting on themes of identity, belonging, and the American Dream.
Having immigrated to New York in 1991, Ozeri approaches this subject through a deeply personal lens, preserving not only the aesthetic of the diner, but its emotional and cultural significance within the American landscape.
