Luca Grimaldi

Luca Grimaldi was born in Rome, Italy and lives and works both in Berlin and Groningen, The Netherlands where he is completing his Masters of Fine art at the Frank Mohr Institute.
Traveling between these three cities leaves him feeling  disconnected. In his paintings, which are based on self-made photographs, he looks for anonymous places and captures the generic quality of these images in paint.
